The Government of
India has set up new AIIMS in almost every state of India to
provide a major thrust on the creation of advanced tertiary
healthcare infrastructure, medical education and research
facilities in different parts of the country.
AIIMS Kalyani
strives to create a research-friendly environment by promoting
independent and innovative thoughts and ideas. To fulfill this
function, the Research section of AIIMS Kalyani is committed to
function as the nodal point of co-ordination for all
research-related activities in the institution.
Despite AIIMS
Kalyani being a newly established institute, the faculty members
are enthusiastic about probing novel ideas for research. A total
of 12 research projects have been initiated by the faculty
members of AIIMS Kalyani in 2019-20. The institute has also
received approval for one Short Term Studentship (STS) project
under ICMR.
Research in medical
and related sciences is one of the major functions of AIIMS,
along with providing quality education and patient care, and we
pledge to fulfill our responsibility to our best of
capabilities.
