About Us:
The Hospital Infection Control committee (HICC) was formed on 29/01/2022 which was later reconstituted on 23/09/2023. The Medical superintendent, Prof. Ajay Mallick and HOD
Microbiology, Prof. Ujjala Ghoshal took a lead role in setting up of HICC. Dr Mugunthan M, faculty from Department of Microbiology was appointed as the Infection control officer.
HOSPITAL INFECTION CONTROL AND PREVENTION (HICP) UNIT:
Hospital Infection Control and Prevention (HICP) Unit of AIIMS Kalyani is the multidisciplinary consortium encompassing faculties from all domains of the Hospital with a common goal to prevent and control the infections.
HOSPITAL INFECTION CONTROL TEAM (HICT) or CORE COMMITTEE
HICT is the functional unit of HICC which actually engages in implementation of Hospital Infection Control Programme. HICT comprises the following core committee members:
