Clinical Services:

Department of General Surgery is equipped with state of the art 110 Bedded IPD including 10 bedded Surgical ICU. Currently Department is offering Services for various ailments as follows:

• OPD services (Monday to Friday): 9AM to 5 PM
• IPD Services:100 bedded including 8 bed High dependency Unit
• Minor Operative services: Dedicated one minor OT at OPD complex running every day.
• Major Operative Services: Both Open and laparoscopic procedure are done on regular basis. All basic and advanced laparoscopic Surgeries are done regularly. All kind of cancer surgeries including Head-Neck, breast, gastro-intestinal, Hepato-biliary, Colo-rectal, Urological malignancies, Bone and soft tissue cancers, Gynaecological malignancies are being carried out regularly.
• Surgical ICU: 4 bedded functional surgical ICU has already been started. Will be extended to 10 bed subsequently.
• Special Clinic: Department runs “breast cancer clinic” every Wednesday.

Upcoming Clinical Services:

• Endovascular clinic for endovascular surgery of varicose vein.
• Laser Proctology clinic for Laser treatment of haemorrhoid, fissure, Fistula.
• Robotic surgery

Academic Courses:

• MBBS (125 students each year)
• MS (General Surgery) [5 students each session]
• Diploma in Operation Theatre technology
