I consider it honour to have been appointed as the Executive Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) Kalyani, one of the Institutions of National Importance (INIs) in India established by an Act of Parliament and modelled on AIIMS New Delhi. Presently, AIIMS, Kalyani, is at its infancy but the positive attitude of its faculty will help us to flourish and bloom out in flying colours.
Jessica Herrin once said, “shaping your culture is more than half done when you hire your team”. In this regard, I am extremely thankful to the founder-director, Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane, who took immense pains....
The 74th Independence Day was celebrated at the AIIMS Kalyani campus on 15th August 2020.
The 71st Republic Day was celebrated as the first Republic Day at AIIMS Kalyani on 26th January 2020.
