Burn & Plastic Surgery

The department of Burn & Plastic Surgery at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences Kalyani, West Bengal was established in December 2022. The OPD and minor OT services in Burn and Plastic Surgery started formally on 24th of January 2023.

OPD DAYS:
• Two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday)

SPECIAL CLINICS:
• Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Clinic (Monday).

The department works in collaboration with various other departments such as ENT, Orthopaedic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, PMR, Endocrinology, Maxillofacial, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Dermatology, Gynaecology, CTVS, General Surgery etc. The department is in process of collaborating with NGOs like Mission Smile.

VISION:
The vision of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department is to provide the highest quality of care to patients who require reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and acute management of burn and trauma patients. This includes a commitment to:
1. Excellence in patient care including a commitment to the latest advances in burn and reconstructive surgery techniques, as well as a focus on patient education and support throughout the healing process.
2. Innovation in research includes exploring new treatments and techniques, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals and researchers to improve outcomes for patients.
3. Training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Overall, the vision of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department is to provide and promote aesthetic burn and plastic surgery services and research.
