RESEARCH

Introduction
“Research comprises defining and redefining problems, formulating hypothesis or suggested solutions; collecting, organizing and evaluating data; making deductions and reaching conclusions; and at last carefully testing the conclusions to determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis” – Clifford Woody.
In common parlance it basically refers to a search for knowledge. Research is an integral part of healthcare as it helps determine the best treatments and practices, assists in identification of various preventive measures as well as for early and accurate diagnosis. The department of dentistry at AIIMS Kalyani has been at the forefront of the research since its inception and has achieved amazing milestones for the same.

2. “Runner up award for the presentation” awarded to Dr Saravana Pratap for his presentation on “Antimicrobial efficacy of endodontic irrigants against Enterococcus faecalis: an invitro study” at National-level Scientific event “Endovista at Terna dental college, Mumbai, 28th – 30th April 2023.
