The Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy started Outpatient services in January, 2021.
Inpatient services were started in December, 2022.
At present approximately 120-130 patients are examined everyday in the OPD. There are dedicated special clinics from 2-5pm, 5 days / week (Leprosy clinic: Monday; Psoriasis clinic: Tuesday; Child Skin clinic: Wednesday; STD clinic: Thursday; Vitiligo clinic: Friday). Inpatient admissions are advised whenever indicated. Dermatosurgery, Phototherapy, Laser therapy, chemical peeling, patch test and many other facilities are available in the department.
Postgraduate course (MD, Dermatology) was started in 2023 and at present there are two postgraduate students pursuing their MD course.
The department has developed modern facilities to serve the needy patients, to treat the ‘difficult to manage’ cases and to utilize latest developments in the field and expertise at best for incurable diseases.
