The department of Physiology has been established in the year 2019. Physiology is the science of how the human body works. It describes basic body functions, from cellular level to the integrated behaviour of various systems in our body.The subject taught to the students is made more relevant by integrating the topics, in the form of integrated lecture, problem based learning and case based learning. The research labs are planned to be set up which will aid both in patient diagnostics as well as basic research. Currently, the Hematology and Clinical Physiology labs are functional for undergraduate training.
The objective of the Department of Physiology is the trinity of:
1) Teaching - To impart knowledge through effective teaching,
2) Research - To be on par with the quality of contemporary research and excel
3) Diagnostics -to use the technology to offer effective diagnostics to help the Physicians by Pulmonary function testing, Autonomic function testing, Clinical neurophysiology etc
